There are numerous excellent hostelries and restaurants in the area. The fertile Blackwater and Bride valleys provide much wonderful fare for local tables - and indeed the River Blackwater itself is, of course, the source of the world renowned Blackwater salmon. Local beef, lamb, poultry and pork are by-words for good quality. A pint of Bulmer's cider, made just over the hills in Clonmel is likely made from apples from the many orchards stretched across West Waterford. There are many wonderful restaurants and eateries in Fermoy and around East Cork as well but below is a list of fine establishments based in West Waterford just to whet the appetite.... And thinking of having a pint? There are many wonderful bars but none more wonderful and unique than the ones here in the village of Ballyduff itself -  The Síbín, The Log Cabin and Tobin's. The village has one shop but three pubs. It seems that we have our priorities right... Having said that, if you want a quick sandwich you could do worse than call to Stephen's corner shop.
