History of Group
 
Kilworth Drama Group is an Amateur Drama Group founded in 1954, based in North Cork. Our purpose is to promote and encourage drama experience for all age groups. We perform a three act play annually, have performed in many one act plays in local festivals and enjoy developing our skills through workshops. The proceeds of our productions benefit local charities and organisations.
 
Brief Synopsis of the Play
 
A widower, Andrew Coulter lives with his elderly father and son. His daughter takes care of them but when she becomes pregnant she fears that they will not be able to cope as her visits will be reduced. Aunt Harriet is sure they won't cope and during a bout of banter with Andrew she makes a wager that he won't get a wife within a week. When the suitors arrive - mayhem ensures.

Since 1981, West Waterford Drama Festival is held in Ballyduff during March. Over three decades of dramatic excitement, community endeavour, investment in friendship and sheer good fun. All driven by an ethos of volunteerism, community and good humour. more
